Donate Your Special Day, or Fundraise Your Way!
There are endless ways that you can raise funds to support patients in critical need of specialty neuro care. Whether it’s an athletic challenge, a special occasion, or your own unique creation, you can make a big difference in a patient's life…and have a great time doing it.
- $150 can help an uninsured patient spend time with a specialist experienced in their specific diagnosis
- $500 raised will help provide infusion therapy for an MS patient to live a healthier, more active life
- $1,000 raised will provide a critical MRI so an uninsured patient can see the progression of their disease state and work together with their care team on their treatment plan
A FEW IDEAS (but we encourage creativity!)
* You can donate your birthday by asking everyone who was going to buy you a gift to donate to your personal fundraiser page instead!
* Did you have a wedding or another major celebration that you've had to postpone? Ask your inner circle to put their gift money to good use now - donate to your fundraiser instead!
* Run/walk/ride your own mini-marathon - it's one of the few activities we can still do outside the house OR you can do it indoors on a treadmill or a stationary bike! Ask your friends and family to agree to sponsor you for every mile; check in on your phone in a Facebook Live or an Instagram Story during your trek; wear a tracker or download an app to show your progress, and ask followers to donate their contribution to your personal fundraiser!
* Record yourself breaking a personal record doing an activity that you love and ask spectators to donate to the cause you love!
Creating Your Fundraiser is Easy
Brainstorm activities/events that matter to you, and see if they could be turned into a personal fundraising campaign! It can be a day or a longer period of time. It can be an activity related to the work of . Creativity is welcome!
Register as a Fundraiser and create your simple Personal Fundraising page on behalf of . Consider naming your page to match the theme of your fundraising initiative, i.e. Josie's Birthday or Wendy & Tom's Run for the Cure!
Share with your friends and family! Remember, there is no deadline, only a total fundraising goal. So feel free to post about this on social and share via email. We'll send you tips on what to say!
